CTD Help and Support
CTD Help and Support Crash To Desktop errors are mostly user related. For new guys it is hard to find help scattered on the forum like the escaping convoy on the sea. Many posts are posted in wrong threads and then redirected. If we try to concentrate help on one thread we can all benefit from it, and then when the real issue is determined redirect user to the mod owner. CTorpedoeD guys can easily ask for help, search and read about the latest problems :06: Old skippers can easy check for new problems and help, or easy sent links to posts where the problem is already explained :know: Note: Please if you are asked to post your .mep file wrap it in Code tag ( looks like this "#") Explain your problem, do not wait for question like this. |

It's a good game,just needs a little push. |
Something i found very helpful to solve CTDs, is to:
- deactivate all mods and remove them somewhere from MODS folder - delete JSGME files from SH5 - delete SH5/data folder - copy/past fresh new SH5/data folder (that you must have saved somewhere at first install!) - re-install new JSGME - copy/past all mods one by one in new MODS folder - reactivate all mods in right order - eventually a good HD defrag That solved me a weird CTD each time i was cliking open torpedo tube! |
That is very clean:up:
Only there is easier way to deal with the MODS folder on reinstall. Go in MODS folder Delete Folder !BACKUP Delete Folder !INSTLOGS Delete JSGME file snapshot.txt Delete JSGME.ini So you will not have to move your mods from MOD folder. If you can not see these files above then in your active window go to tools > folder options > View > and in window with scroll bar tick Show hidden files, folders and drives > Apply > OK Additionally if you want to see file extensions like .txt .ini .mep then untick Hide extensions for known file types. If you can not see tools menu in your active window (win 7 etc. ) go to Organize > Layout and tick Menu bar |
