Yes, it is my usual method for updating my patrol logs, as it is easier to copy/paste stock phrases in excel than in the editor itself. Not sure this is that much use to you other than telling you it can be done. What error messages are you getting? Are you sure you are saving as csv in excel rather than its default save type? Are you sure you are omitting the leading zeros from the time? Other than that I'm out of suggestions without a little more to go on.

Hi CherryHarbey

I copy and paste in excel and save as a csv file but get a "0 of 1 files imported" message in SH3C when trying to import.
Perhaps it is the way I am putting it into excel?
Is each heading in a separate cell?

Or how do you do your in excel?

Thanks
John

in excel
column A - date as one long number year then month then day eg 19401231
column B - time in 24 hour clock but without leading zeros eg 1500 for 3pm 7 for 7 minutes past midnight
column C - log entry

new row for each log entry

then save as .csv

I think this is what I do, but my excel is on a different laptop.
if this doesn't help, I'll have a closer look for you on my other machine
