Who doesn't love a good scumbag politician story?
Florida governor Rick Scott adopted a dog for the 2010 campaign, and then returned it afterwards.
http://www.tampabay.com/news/bizarre...reagan/1270497 Now he says they got rid of it because the dog was a rescue dog with psychological problems, but don't you think you'd figure that out before you adopted it? People who treat pets like easily disposable property make me sick. |

I would say if you have employees feeling threatened and the dog is causing disruptions then there aren't a lot of options. Of course if the dog had bit someone you'd be in here complaining that the Republican was deliberately putting people at risk for having the dog. |
People need to realize that taking in a rescued animal requires more work than having a non-rescued pet. The abuse that many of these animals have recieved have left them with behavior issues that have to be worked through gently and carefully, just as you would with a human being. It appears that this man acted like far too many people and simply adopted the dog on a whim, doing Reagan no service in the end.

I don't think he's necessarily a scumbag, but if his job is to lead people I wouldn't follow him across the road!
|
He is not very popular with most Floridians. He is actually pretty scum baggy actually. Many people call him Voldemort because he looks a lot like Voldemort from the Harry Potter flicks and he is basically a jerk.Even his own party dislikes him.
Before becoming "the gov" he was the CEO of a group of hospitals and covered up a TB outbreak amazingly people still voted for him. |

I'd say that depends on what behavior the dog displayed before his adoption and what the shelter knew about the dog and what they chose to share about it. You don't really know how an animal is going to act until you get them out of the shelter. |
He's a politician, so he was already a scumbag before the dog.
Look, this dog needed special care and love, something not part of his GOP mindset. |

because republicans want to send the infirm, elderly and special needs children and pets to special camps right? |

He's a scumbag.
If he really wanted the dog for anything other than campaing ad he'd hire a trainer for the dog. He's rolling in cash anyway, what's a few hundred dollars. |

I don't know. My wife shows dogs, we also have a dog kennel and my wife works with rescue dogs. I've seen it several times that dogs just don't thrive in some enviroments you think they would, but then do well in other situations. Was the dog a campaign prop, maybe, most gain a large following, so they're used often as a campaign tool, but I think most are loved. Anyway, he's a scumbag regardless. |
Hey Mookie, i'll trade you a not keeping a troubled dog story for this one:
Federal immigration agents were prepared to arrest an illegal immigrant and registered sex offender days before the November elections but were ordered by Washington to hold off after officials warned of "significant interest" from Congress and news organizations because the suspect was a volunteer intern for Sen. Robert Menendez (D), according to internal agency documents provided to Congress. http://www.washingtonpost.com/politi...7b8_story.html A real scumbag politican with a D after his name... |
He is a politician.
he was most likely a scumbag before he adopted that kid... err dog. nothing new here, moving on, people... do not give that scumbag attention he does not deserve. and he aint deserving that dogs attention affection and love either. any Dog's.:nope: |
