Re-installed the SH III

It has been a while - more than a couple of years since I have palyed the SH III. I installed it again and enjoyed a lot despite the "distorted" view on the screen due to the screen which is 16:10 scale. Then I found out that there is a mod for to help this issue and after having downloaded one marvellous mod I got the statement that Subsim expects me to write here - in the meaning of to get access to more downloadable mods. I mean the "Wide screen" -mod. Otherwise I would be allowed to download just one mod per day.

I fully understand that and that is why I now write this. I thank modders as well as those who work for this forum. Looking forward to get the screen wide!

I had a quick look there - very good stuff. Thank you!

I have had a marvellous weekend with my good old VIIB. I started in august 1939 and September the 3:rd I sunk one british ship up in north, Scotland I suppose. But then R.A.F. sent their greetings and I luckily escaped to the darkening evening on the way home, Kiel. But, then, the U-boot sunk. I feel like i must have survived with my whole crew.

I started a new campaign beginning in 1940, St. Nazaire with another VIIB. And here I am salling from Brest to North Atlantic after having destroyed some 112.000 tons of enemy shipping as well as a few tons of neutral shipping! This will be my 12:th voyage to the hostile waters.

I have played with all the difficuelties on except the stabilation view. I have scored one torpedo hit as far as from 2.600+ meters. I have lost one officer dead due to enemy deck machine gun fire. And then the bad news: there are only two more schnappses in my last bottle of Vodka. Byt the worst is yet to come: mondaymorning and job!:wah:

But at least I had a good taste of depth charges. I had allmost forgotten how refreshing it is to get an hour-long shower of good bombs!

Have a nice week
Walstein
