Here is a tip.

In late November 1939, the HMS Nelson and the HMS King George III will be in Loch Ewe. The Nelson sitting just outside the docks, and the King George docked. If you can sink them and escape, dock at Wilhemshaven, and go back on patrol before December 24, 1939, both ships will be docked again at Loch Ewe in the same identical places.

here's another lol

on antoher patrol i was again at loch ewe and nelson was on his place WTF ?!
first i thought that it was a wreck from my first patrol but it wasn't
actually that DD was too in the same position

i was shooting from 10 km and my torpedoes did nothing (propably it was the fault of anti-torpedo net{<= is that correct ?})

so i returned to base with poor 10.000 tons

Since my question seems related to the post, I didn’t wanted to open a new post. My question is does the Battleships (Nelson, Hood vs...) just teleport to the ports for the given dates below OR I may be able to catch them before they enter the port if I blockade the entrance of Loch Ewe for example.

My intention is avoid port defences.

1939/10/04 - 1939/10/14, Battleship Revenge, Scapa Flow
1939/11/01 - 1940/01/05, Battleship Nelson, Loch Ewe
1939/11/05 - 1939/12/05, Battleship Revenge, Loch Ewe
1940/03/01 - 1940/05/01, Auxiliary Cruiser, Scapa Flow
1940/03/07 - 1940/04/25, Aircraft Carrier Illustrious, Scapa Flow
1940/04/01 - 1940/06/01, Auxiliary Cruiser, Scapa Flow
1940/05/17 - 1945/01/01, Fiji Light Cruiser, Loch Ewe
1940/05/24 - 1940/06/30, Dido Light Cruiser, Scapa Flow
1940/12/11 - 1940/12/31, Battleship King George V, Scapa Flow

The Silent Hunter 3 (or 4 for that matter, don't know about 5) is basically a script of waypoints, suffering from dementia. In the sense that it can't remember which units were sunk in previous patrols. But it won't re-appear in the same patrol, provided you didn't revert to a previous savegame. You'll find numerous threads here in the forum about sinking the Nelson or the Revenge 3, 4, 5, or god knows how many times. One caveat, the models are usually named by their class, instead of their true designated names. So that's why you see the Revenge or Hood all over the place. It just means that in that specific convoy is an instance of that class of warship, and not the actual Hood or Revenge or whatever.

In GWX atleast, the bigger warships are part of a taskforce (or convoy) that moves across the world according to their real tasking orders back in the day. But it may be that they are technically different missions, using the same unit type. So their life during the campaign is split up in parts, so to say. Usually when it enters and leaves a port somewhere.

So, you can't really prevent it from leaving a port by a blockade or something, other then shooting it on sight when it appears (during your current patrol only). Teleporting isn't the right word for it, as it doesn't disappear somewhere else. It just spawns out of mid air (water?), brand new into existence.

My intention is not prevent it entering the port. Let me explain my situation. I am currently in AN11 and I want to hunt down Enemy Task Forces. I encountered a Task Force containing HMS Hood, HMS Nelson and HMS Rodney. HMS Hood is not part of the convoy anymore because it sits in the bottom

Now I want to hunt down HMS Nelson, I know it should be in Loch Ewe in a couple of days (date in game is 25 Oct 39). So I want to know if sitting in the entrance of Loch Ewe and wait it is an option or not. In other words, I don’t want to deal with antisubmarine nets, or Coastal Artilleries or DDs trying to hunt me in shallow water.

In short words, does HMS Nelson will return to Loch Ewe via sea route OR the game will take an instance of it and create from nowhere.
