Gyron Angle is jacked up!?

So I was playing tonight, took about an hour to track this ship and after getting to her and realizing she was faster than I, took an hour of getting my darn chief to FINALLY let me run my engines at full power to overtake her, Set up a perfect 90 spot at 1000m from her (Dead of night early war) set speed of ship to 13 k (She was going 12.5) AOB to 90, Bearing at 0 and range at 1000.

Now my firing solution had my torpedo going off and to the right instead of straight ahead.. and when I moved my scope, my gyro wouldnt update telling me when I was on 0 which is where to fire, what gives? Every other time it worked fine. Or am I just missing a very small but very important step?

Using TDW SH5 UI btw.

Regards, Casey

EDIT: Fixed it :) Was a extra mod conflicting.

If the gyro is not moving when moving your scope - this is the tdc in open mode.
Sounds like your red/green tdc button was green when it should be red:hmmm:

ok. SO then after I make all my calculations I turn my TDC back red correct?

Yes,

To use the TDC on a zero angle - set scope to zero
click TDC button to green (input)
input aob (90) and speed (??)
click TDC button red again (TDC active)
Turn scope until gyro reads zero
Fire as ship passes scope.

Or for pointing at ships.
Aim scope at ship
click TDC button green (input)
set aob, speed and range
click TDC button red (TDC active)

Okay, I think Im just used to SH3 more which was a bit easier. The way you have to do it in SH5 is kinda tediuos. I figured it out though, Fired three torpedoes and they missed aft of her -_- I must have gotten the speed wrong or something. U

Now I dont know if its a game glitch with my mod soup or not but I dont seem to have a spread angle selection anymore when I select Salvo either.

Have you set you TDC to all on the scope view?

on your torp box - there should be some buttons. Click "ALL" to see all the dials:up:

maybe you just forgot to press a "salvo" button
