AA targeting problems

Forgive me for asking what has probably been asked a million times, but when manning the AA gun I rarely can see any planes becasue the hull obscures your view. Using a Gato currently and there are hardly any places where as I move the gun up and down my vision is obsured by the structure. I am thinking it has to be a bug...I mean even at like 200 degrees when elevating I lose my sight temporarily until I elevate past a "bar" or something. THIS SUCKS. I don;t eve know when I am getting attacked what direction the planes are coming from...I would think the game would tell you the direction like it does when sighting a ship. Any suggestions?

Ctrl-V gives you nearest target bearing and range.

WOW. Played this game for years and never knew that. Thanks, pal.

Also, depending on year, mods, etc....your con tower will get cut down and you'll get a clearer view.

If you want to shoot for fun, fine, but your crew makes better gunners, but you'll learn if you want to live, leave planes alone....dive..

Agree.

Dueling with planes will make your career violent and short. :)

I don't make a habit of it...one of those days where if I dive I sink. It has been my experience that when I leave it to the crew they sometimes do not even fire.
