DPRK launches long range missile

Most likely straight into the sea but it's still too early to tell.

North Korean rocket, DO YOU EVEN LIFT?:stare:

Apparently they're trying to develop a missile that will reach the west coast of the North American continent.

First, though, they've got to make one that will reach the west coast of the Korean peninsula... :hmmm:

EDIT: Updated news seems to indicate that the first stage of the rocket detached as planned and came down in the Yellow Sea, and the rest of the rocket passed over Okinawa but the Japanese decided not to shoot it down (perhaps in the hope that it would crash anyway and save them the missiles) but whether the 'satellite' made it into orbit has yet to be confirmed.

Instead of building really bad missiles, Kim Jong Un, why don't you, I don't know, FEED YOUR PEOPLE?! :stare:

Same reason why some factions in America want to cut medicare, because we are broke, but always seem to find the resources go to war with Iran/Iraq/Afghanistan etc..

It is all about enriching your friends.

The people are pawns, occasionally, once in 100 games we can become a queen, but the chances of us making it across the board is slim to nil.

(chess reference, booo me) ;)

News reports on television say the launch was a success. I imagine Iran has alreay put in orders for some too.

Oberon 12-12-12 01:00 AM

Indeed, the US has confirmed that 'something' has been put into orbit, question is, what and who will it fall on?

Still, it's good to see that Kerbal Space Program has given the Korean Space Program such a leg up. :yep:

I imagine things are going to heat up if Iran gets a hold of this technology,
which they will eventually. Israel won't like this at all.

Jimbuna 12-12-12 05:23 AM

I must admit to being a little disappointed the Japanese didn't shoot it down.

eddie 12-12-12 08:42 PM

Well, whatever they put into orbit, is now tumbling out of control. I hope, if it reenters the atmosphere, that it comes down in Iran! Crashing into the lap of Ahmidgetrat!:D

I am sure somehow, that whatever happens, America will be blamed, and it will cost our taxpayers a billion plus in aid to appease their hugest fans, Russia and China.

The 2 real evils in this world. The real reason why the UN is a worldwide joke.

I say ditch the UN, they cannot do crap without American money or EQ.

Too many socialist nations in it worried about themselves, expecting America to be world police, while critisizing us for taking up the role. (Yes you France, and Germany, your 2k troops was so helpful, not)

Let them nuke you. They will hit Europe first. Your problem, not ours. Israel too...

Too many starving kids here, I'd rather pay for a meal than a missile.

Pardon my compassionate liberalism. I wish I was as ruthless as most.

Well there's a response that makes no sense, concerning this thread. Should be some great replies coming I bet.
