unfortunately last September when my divorce was finalized my ex wife and i were wondering what to do with the dog.

I told her that as i would be travelling the nation and she would be back home alone managing the closure of our affairs alone, i thought it only fair that she would take "custody" of our boy.

i loved, and still do love that dog very much, he is very intelligent.

one thing we were annoyed with was the constant jingle of his tags, so i had custom military style dog tags with the rubber "silencers" which had his name, address and contact number on one tag, and his vaccinations and vet info on the other each tag concluded with a single word... "reward".

he could sit, stay, lay down, go to bed, wait for his meal (even if it were steak in front of his nose) and even ring a small bell any time he had to go potty.

Brilliant boy and even though his name was "Gunner" he also responded to "bubi"

one day perhaps i will raise and train another like him, but he was such a wealth of personality i doubt if he shall ever be replaced.

I think about you often bubi, love you much my young man!

Yea, I thought I would never love another dog like Bear's mom, but I love him as much, glad she had a litter before he died.

I also have Bear's son, a pup, so 3 generations

This is one of my wifes show dogs, AKC Champion and UKC Grand Champion. Sadly he busted a disc and had to stop showing, then Bear got him once and he lost an eye.

The show dog is Yorkie.

Bear is half Yorkie, half Pom....

Didn't know about the famous Yorkie war dog, just asked my wife, she said it was "Smokey"

If it's about dogs she knows it......Pro handler of several breeds.

Only if his new xmas outfit confuses it.

More worried about bears lately. I have only seen two out here in the last few years, although I see a lot of prints. We came up on one that just crossed the river and Bear took off after it. It was probably not a year old bear, but big enough to eat him... He finally came back, luckily the bear wasn't chasing him this time....

The buna hosehold pet/third child is a Lhasa Apso called Dylan. He is now 15 yearold in dog years, almost totally deaf anf suffering from dementia. There are numerous photos of him in the forum but I'll post a pic when I return home from work.

I, like nikimcbee have a Boston Terrier. Great dog. Seems to be a bit independent though. At least she tries to be. :D Loves Pretzels and Popcorn.

Meet Dash. He is really known as Dude. He got this name because he kept getting into the trash can thus spurning me to say, "WTH dude???" It kind of stuck. He is a very possessive poodle. Dislikes anything on four legs and does not mind letting them know. He is a creature of comfort and seeks it 24/7. His hair cuts cost 3x what I spend in a year for myself. I would not change a thing. He is a good and faithful dog. A great lap dog.

The rest of the family pets(with exception of our two parrots)

Neiko. Another creature of comfort. He thinks he is a dog. He will greet me at the door when I come home. Great cat. He has asthma. We use inhalers when he is in trouble with it.

The big black sun! It's so warm and magical!

Dakota. This little bugger acts like a cat. Likes to snuggle. Is very vocal when you come into the room.
