Berlusconi confirms new PM bid

Does this guy never know when enough is enough? :o

Former Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi has confirmed he will run for the office again next year.
Mr Berlusconi told reporters in Milan that he was "running to win" - and that his decision came after his People of Freedom party had not found a leader who was as well known as him.

Lets just hope he doesn't get re-elected.

There's enough bad jokes about Italians here, that one more might just cause a war

Tribesman 12-08-12 01:08 PM

it was reported in the Italian media that he was the best man for the job and people were calling for him to ignore the problems of his alledged criminal actions and ride out to save the country.
Its handy owning the press isn't it:rotfl2:

"Its handy owning the press isn't it:rotfl2: "

Hehe, Berlusconi controls the italian media, they are all owned by him. Sometimes i think he just tries out how far he can go before being shot.

Apart from that ..
now if politicians of a nation only consist of big entrepreneurs who own the world's biggest business, how comes only those can elect (or be elected) president in the US ?
What has money to do with democracy as people today see it ?
Is this so different from Berlusconi ? :shucks:

Well he's certainly a tryer :)

I felt a brivido / thrill when heard of the news ( + all the speculations and voices since a week or so)...
I hope he doesnt get re elected. the president of the state Napolitano said it well : '' non mandiamo tutto a picco'' ( like saying, dont make all the effort done now get wasted)

I have the same fear. Already the things that the technical governent does arent easy, coming back to near the same state of affairs of the past decades that eventually led to this its quite bad in my opinion ( i think it only postpones the problem).
At least Monti is a different person from the same politicians that are here in the past 10,20 years that for me is a good thing in overall ( i have pros and cons)... and definitely better done that what happened in greece with papademos and what they have now again.

Back to italy, on the media it is said that this move shakes the waters for the current governement because the right wing was important in supporting it too. On the other in these past months it has been said that the center right wing party ( PDL ) lost quite some ground and at same time the center left ( PD) gained a better image with the last few week's internal elections for the party leader.

things will get shaky

If they vote him back into office, they indeed deserve him.

Regarding the Euro, does it really matter anymore which names reside in office in what country? I don't think so. We are heading for the wall anyway, at accelerating speed.

enough already!:down::down::down::timeout:
he should go and have one more bunga bunga party and die whilst having sex with a 18 year old.

only seeing his face makes me want to punch him.:/\\!!
he always wants more, and is not afraid to blatantly lie about anything.
Italian version of Hliter.
Or maybe Goebbels, since "el padre" is all about the Propaganda, and less about Panzer Tanks.
Die! DIE ALREADY!:stare::stare:
