I don't think there is a limit, just don't go overboard.

The question is do you need so many .... because now you have noticed that it has become a problem, you can try this out and see what suits you, some may want to have another, the taste is different as you know, of course, there an upper limit ... and in my case, when I play SH3 + GWX3, so usually be about 15-25 mods depending on my mission in the game is done somewhere, and I have no problems at all, or conflicts between some mods, and computer works great. You should keep in mind if your computer can cope with the extra load of many mods, the graphics card is working hard, CPU as well ... and that you have good RAM memory.

To me lag is a big issue, so I wouldn't go any further. It all comes down to how much your PC can handle while still delivering a smooth frame rate. Personally, I wouldn't wreck the immersion for the sake of a few more bells and whistles, but whatever makes you happy! :sunny:

I don't have any, (lag that is), but then I'm running a fairly new quad core with 8 gigs of RAM. That plus only about 17 mods (for now) so it's all clear sailing.

I just meant I'd back off as soon as I saw some lag creeping in. Plus I don't want to go over board on the mod soup until I figure out how they all work together.

So far I've edited about a half dozen to eliminate conflicts plus I've created a couple 'mutant' mods by combining two or more into one.

All stable so far, but I like to take it one step at a time. :sunny:

Wow!

Perhaps one day I'll reach the heights of your much vaunted mod list, but for now, (after years of SH3 and only a couple weeks into V), I'm still playing in the minors. :03: :haha:

Im running around 54 mods at the moment, no lag. My computer is around 4-5 years old but was top of the line when I bought it and I have upgraded the graphic card to a ATI HD5890 if I remember right from a HD 4870. I only have 4gb ram to but I think my Quad core is helping out.

I guess it depends on what mods you add to. Im planning to add some more soon as I just started to play again and figure out a order that works after I ran in to a CTD mod after just starting to play again. Forgot a lot of stuff since I regularly played last time.

I use 45 mods. My computer is a gamer PC about 3 years old. No lag. If lag for some reason shows up after install of new mod, I love the JSGME utillity and will remove mods or change order of mods, until I am satisfied about the performance of game again :D

50 mods here as of right now, but one will be coming out soon. A Fistful of Emblems v1.51 (Weathered) doesn't give me all the emblems I had before I installed it.

I'm now missing the Spade with the skull in it and I want it back again. It seems to scare the living daylights out of those Brit ships. And the crew is threatening mutiny if I don't get it back. ;) LOL
