What is your ideal start date?
 

I play GWX with Cmdr without the renown replacement.

I like to start in August 1940, I get the VIIC I want and time to train a crew and finally some needed renown to buy "trinkets" for the boat before all heck breaks loose.

What is your ideal start date?

I start three separate careers in August 1939, one in each flotilla, in all three types of boats. When one finally retires or dies, I replace him with a new career starting at that same place and time.

GWX 3 w/SH Commander. Favourite start date is July 1944 with a Type VII snorkel boat.

May 7th 1945 quick spin in the Harbour before we surrender. :har:

Joking aside as soon as I can get down under in warmer waters West of Australia.

September 1939, usually in a type VII.

Late August 39 every time.

Always : December 1939 , Wilhelmshaven in a IXB.

I have two favorites that I like.

Das Boot start, October 1941, or for a real challenge summer 1943.

I like to start from the beginning. August 39 in Königsberg or sometimes in Kiel with a Typ II.

IXB came December, same year :03: I prefer myself, also IXB in Dec 1939 :)

I like to start as early as poss, I'm just starting my second ixb patrol and its December 39

SH3 Commander lets me start in October 1939 with a IXB :yep::hmmm:

August '39 for me, I kind of feel like I've cheated otherwise :-?
