Calling people gasbags is quite surly indeed. Especially after Skybird gave you an excellent and polite answer.

Reading comprehension, kid. Reading comprehension. Good luck with, well, whatever you're planning to do. You could have just read the system requirements and then gone to Dell's website and build from there, but that might have been to easy, no? Besides, this would have deprived us of your witty banter and magnificent grammar.

Ah, the internet.

kurt250 11-30-12 06:43 PM

sorry

i'm not very good with computers. now that you have put me in my place, you suggest dell computers. thank you. kurt250

I'm sorry, I thought that this was the style of banter you wanted. But yes, read the system requirements for SH5, and be sure to write them down. Then go to Dell. They have a system to build your own computer, all very intuitive. Match the game requirements to your system specs and you are set. It's all I've ever used and it is excellent for guys like me who don't want to be a part-time computer engineer.

Yes, you'll need to be connected the first time you play SH5. It's copy protection requires it for the first time you connect. After that, you can play it offline all you want. Dell computers ship with anti-virus software and the operating system already installed, so you will be okay.

Here's the website link.

Here's the important parts of the SH5 requirements:

CPU: Intel Core2 Duo or newer (won't be a problem, the base processors will be better than that)

RAM: 2 Gigs. (The most important part, get at least 4, which should probably be standard now)

Graphics card: 512MB or higher (Should also be standard now, not a problem)

Make sure you also get a DVD-ROM drive, not a CD-ROM drive. The game comes on a DVD. Also be sure to get Windows 7 as the Operating System.

Let us know how it turns out and if you need any more help.

We have several gasbags around here led by Sailor Steve that are very touchy, but usually it's about spelling, etc...

If money is a concern, try local Craigslist. I bought a decent gaming rig for $400.00.

Smiley when you say that, pardner.

I was about to suggest the system specs for SH1. ;)
