If you don't use JSGME, then you need to go through and replace each file individually.

I've been using Wineskin wrappers to run SH4, JSGME, and MultiSHex. Works fine. After you create the Wineskin wrapper for SH4, you get 3 folders, Contents, Drive_c, and Wineskin. Open the Wineskin folder, select the Advanced, you see Configuration, Tools, and Options at top, select Tools. Under the Utilities column select Custom EXE creator. Under name to use type JSGME. On next line, Windows EXE, put the path to the JSGME.exe that's in your SH4 main folder. This assumes, of course, that you DL'd the JSGME.rar into your Downloads folder, and expanded that into your SH4 folder (C:\SH4). What the Custom EXE creator does is create another wrapper for the EXE, e.g., JSGME, or MultiSHex. Now your SH4 initial wrapper contains three folders which when you open them to execute, they execute the pointed to .exe. Now you can use JSGME to apply the Mods you insert in the C:\SH4\MODs folder.
BTW, I strongly recommend installing the Large Address Aware fix when running SH4 with Wineskin on the MAC. I encountered frequent CTDs without it.
Good luck. I've been running SH4 with TMO, FOTRS, and RSRDc on my MacBook Pro with Wineskin for past 6 months and perfomance is much better than running Win 7 under Bootcamp.

I don't have the link for LAA but google it then download it. If you have a 64bit processor the LAA readme shows you how to modify the SH4.exe so it uses more than the 2gb memory allocation. I think it gets you 3gb, if you really have that much. Most Macs do. This modified exe replaces the SH4.exe and you just put it back in the c:/sh4 folder so you replace the initial one.

i do it with a program called cff explorer,it can change a lot of options with .exe file

Should be. I don't have SH 5 but it is just another application exe.

hello

I have just returned from a long absence, but why can't you install the mod with JGSME? It is not hard to do, and is the way almost all captains add mods to the game. I am baffled.

He can but he has to "wrap" JSGME in a Wineskin wrapper. See my reply above.
