Brookfield - Seven people were shot late Sunday morning at a spa near the Brookfield Square Mall - apparently none fatally - and police were combing the area searching for the suspect.

The multiple shooting occurred about 11 a.m. at the Azana Salon & Spa on N. Moorland Road, just south of Blue Mound Road and across the street from Brookfield Square.

Police described the suspect as a dark-skinned man, 6-feet-2 inches tall and 210 pounds, wearing a gray sweater and blue jeans and carrying a white and black backpack. He was seen driving a 2003 Mazda Protégé with license number 171-KZD.

Four people were taken to Froedtert Hospital, where they are being evaluated. None is in critical condition, hospital officials said. Three more victims are expected to be transported from the scene, Froedtert spokeswoman Carolyn Bellin said. Numerous sheriffs department and security vehicles are actively patrolling the Milwaukee County Medical Center Complex and grounds near Froedtert. Officers are stationed at all main entrances to the facility.

Very sad the incident resulted in deaths but at least he isn't in a position to do anything like this again.
