Different Problem

I hope I'm not out of line in asking this, but I have had two crashes to blue screen this week and I'm freaking!!! My question is, is there an online service that might be able to help me figure out WHF(fudge) is going on?? Microsoft's solution finder ids useless. It's not the same thing each time; 1st, said internet explorer stopped working, and this morning, crashed when trying to download some windows update. I have updated a few things, including graphic drivers, for one.:O:

Again, I apologise if this isn't kosher, but I'm just asking.

Don't feel bad. Security update downloads are frozen on my computer. Issues with Steam and my dvd drives aren't working.

One thing you could do is run a virus scan with Miscosoft Security Essentials.... a Full scan. You, as well as I, might have a virus or trojan that's snuck in. I'm off now for 5 hour full scan to see that WTH is going on. Good luck Marshall. And warn us when you see snow up there. LOL

this website can be very helpfull at times and they can help you fix your computer problems but there are a bunch of immature young little arsholes there so the maturity level over there is pretty low, just be ready for it

Thanks for the link Webster.

I did get my dvd drives working again. Having problems with my HP printer now. Print Spool trouble is keeping me from reinstalling my software.

Malware & viruses can be a real headache. Sometimes it takes more than one program to detect and clean a sick pc.

My suggestions are:

SuperAntiSpyware: http://www.superantispyware.com/

Malwarebytes: http://www.malwarebytes.org/

Microsoft Safety Scanner: http://www.microsoft.com/security/sc...s/default.aspx

Avast Virus Protection: http://www.avast.com/en-us/index

These are all free. Just follow the instructions.

Last, but not least, is HijackThis. It is pretty advanced stuff so be careful! Just google HijackThis for links.

Good luck sailors :salute:

When it crashes get the error code from the bsod (blue screen of death). Then do a Google search for what the error code means.
