Calculating time Real Navigation
Hey,
I was wondering how you calculate how long you have to travel to cover a distance on your map using real navigation. I am using this method: When I have to travel for example 120 km, I multiply this by 0.62137 (this is 1 mile) so I get 75 miles. I divide this by my speed (for example 8 knots) to get 9,375 hours = 9 hours and 23 minutes. However, if I travel this time in game at 8 knots I don't arrive where I want to go. I arrive there a lot earlier. Am I doing something wrong or is there a better method to calculate the time it takes to cover a certain distance? Happy hunting, Job |

nautical mile = 1852 meters.. not 1609.. the proper multiplier is - 0.54 120 km = 64.8 nm |
Thanks a lot for finding my problem :)

Just use the auto scripts so the navigater plots every 2 hours .

Thanks for the tip Sober ;) I use this script as well but I think it's easy to know at what time I will arrive, it adds realism to te simulator I guess ;)
