Scale of models in SH5

pretty much as the topic states. I think I saw something in one of the discussions on this, but I can't find it now.

So, what I'm wondering, what is the scale of models in the game to real-size? 1/1000 (0.001)? It seems close w/ my approximations, but I haven't actually calculated yet (have been extremely busy lately :( )

Bonsoir Targor :salute:

I think like you that it's 1:1000 scale ,but not 100% sure ...:hmmm: Too many things have bad scale to be sure ... :-?

Thanks, bud.

Yeah, there is a lot of work needs to be done to make the game more realistic.. And scaling is one of it: I remember sober was trying to make some of the ships wider as they suppose to, but run into some problems :nope:

Well, I'll assume the 1:1000 for now and go from there.

Cheers :sunny:

Somewhere in the Patcher's thread TDW and Gap discussed about the odds in the game controllers... try to search there..

A movement of .1 equals roughly 1 meter.
In 3D max if your scale is set as 1 Unit equals 1 meter?
You'd need to reduce the model by 10.

I have a scaleing wall created by DivingDuck that comes in handy for SH modeling.

I also use a program called Obj Scalar that allows quickly changeing the scale of obj files.

I could upload them both if you'd like a copy of them.
:yep:
