One does not simply hate Taken 2.

Especially for those that haven't seen te first one.

Liam Neeson could be smearing feces on his face and quoting Stalin, and I would pay to see it.
(I'd pay double for that!)

Taken was a great flick.

I finally figured out that I had seen the first one. It struck me as fairly typical of the genre. The person kidnapped has no real existence other than as a plot device. Luckily she has superman for a dad. The others aren't so lucky. They are sold into slavery or killed. Too bad their dads weren't so super. Lucky for them they were just plot devices too, and didn't really exist.

For me it was pointless and a waste of time.

I saw the first one and I would like my money back. You cannot pretend you are Jason Bourne when you are 60 yrs old.
It did not work!

The last movie he made that I liked was Rob Roy.

I give Taken 2 a C+, worth watching but nothing special.

I disagree, that was part of the pull of that movie(thus its success), Liam Neesen, the unexpected badass, it worked.Taken 2 was a C+, worth a watch but basically the same.Before I ever read a preview or anything, I figured the Albanians would be after him to get revenge.I think avoiding a kidnapping of anyone would have been better, for the plot, it was too cliche'.

We disagree. It didn't work. And for the record, I loved Liam Neeson as an actor. But he has put up stinker after stinker since 1995.
