Uplay question
 

Might be a dead horse but I've been gone awhile and tried forum search. Is there someway to set Uplay to just stay loaded in the background and when I click SH5 it loads straight to the game w/o me having to click on another icon in uplay to play the game? so much BS to go through just to start the game.

Just wanted to load up SH5 after a couple months...
Bought the DVD Version in addition to Steam, for the Hydrophone Bug...
Now uPlay wants my DVD Key to permanently binding it to my account...
Don't have it with me, I guess I just give up on Silent Hunter.

I don't believe so. You can, however, keep it Offline and keep it loaded at all times. But that is all I can say in this regard, sorry.

Not very helpfull to the thread opener. And if you have the DVD version, the code is right there, with the DVD, so I'm not sure what's the problem.

I have the same problem. Can't play offline when trying to play the campaign. That's also not true. The code is not "always" right there. I bought the DVD and i had to ask a internet-side. The serial-key.was sent via eMail.

Well, I installed the game and entered the Key obviously. Usually that's it.
Since I currently have no physical access to the DVD, re-entering the Key prohibits me to from playing. And the Steam Key won't work either.

This is interesting.. How does it look like exactly? Sorry, just curious.

I'd tell Steam you want your money back. Then go to Amazon.com and get the SH5 dvd. Besides that, there are mods that will not work with the Steam download of SH5. Only the dvd version patched to 1.2

You're wrong..
Only TDW's patcher will not work with the Steam version.. all mods will work correctly..

Ok V. I was told at one time that not all would with Steam. Good to hear I'm wrong. Thanks.
