External reserves
I,m coming back from a patrol and I,ve got 2 reserves externally ,does any Skippers know how you get the crew to get em below and in the tubes ?Granted the weather was too rough for the gun crews to be on deck, but in nice weather I,ve stopped engines and waited ,maybe there,s a method but I can,t find one ! :hmmm:

Click on them and transfer them to charge to the tube .... which takes at least 10 minutes.
|
Use the cursor to drag the external torpedo to one of the empty internal slots, not the tube. You will see the torpedo slowly disappear and reappear in the slot. External transfers take about an hour. After they are inside you can load them into the tubes.

Ok! One hour I have never waited so long...:o
|
With a good full crew it will take between 35-45 minutes to transfer from outside to the spare slots, then a few minutes more to load into the tubes. The aft transfer takes a little bit longer than the front one does.

Thanks shipmates for the help I knew there must be a way , Good Hunting H

Increase TC and they'll load even faster. ;) :har:

Make sure you're not in an area with planes around. If you play like I do, you can't dive if externals are being reloaded. :arrgh!:
|
Man, no one dive in such a situation

H.sie's realism fix prevents you from diving for a certain amount of time when reloading externals.
Prior to the fix, not diving for a certain amount of time was a "personal" realism setting when reloading externals, along with good weather, and stopped. Sailor Steve had a good way to determine how long you had to stay on the surface and other penalties depending on how far into the loading process you were when you tried to dive. Can't remember the details off hand unfortuneately. I have them written down at home on my computer somewhere. "Man them Flak guns boys!" :sunny: :) |
