The Dornier 17 find in the sands is very interesting. What a find.

Have they started the excavation yet? Makes you wonder whats down under the channel.

Really jealous. Be prepared to get their early and spend the whole day wondering around. The BoB and WW1 hangers were my favourites, but the main hanger is quite incredible too. Tripes, Se5s, Camels, Me109E4s, A Biff, even a Be2c. I think the only thing it was missing from my personal 'wishlist' was a Harry Tate. Some of those new fangled jet thingies are quite interesting too.

Yeah, two of the gang have been previously and one high up on my wish list is a Jag (on its undercarriage).

The big smoke ain't gonna know what hit it! I was planning to head that way in October but alas it seems that the finances won't stretch that far. Have fun there Jim, it's a beautiful place and a veritable treasure trove of aircraft old and new.

EDIT: Also, keep an eye out in the outside grounds, there's a couple of MTBs about that I'm sure a wee doggy would want a few pics of ;)

Hey Jim, I might be up for Hendon - if my presence is wanted, and if you give me enough advanced warning :D
Thinking about it Id love to go to hendon again, not been since I was a nipper (about 12 I think)

I wonder if they still have that colour blind tour guide in the BOB Hanger?

Will do my best matey but I'm no professional photographer :o

STEED 09-24-12 03:16 PM

Nor am I. :haha:

One thing I noticed jim in the few pictures it dose look better lit. As I recall there was two hangers, one was a BoB hanger and the other a mixture of WW1 to present day.

Of course it will be different now.

Probably...people on a couple of other forums were saying the same about my pictures from the visit to Duxford.
