Who is the best James Bond?

I know that this is a little unfair, as George Lazenby only got 1 movie, and Timothy Dalton only got two, but anyway...HAPPY 50TH BIRTHDAY, MISTER BOND!:woot::woot::woot::woot:

I voted Pierce Brosnan. The Sean Connery, and Moore fans will kill me but consider my age before you do.

He had the swagger and the looks. Moreso than the old 2 favorites. I like me some Sean Connery, but I feel like Pierce with that smarmy smile of his as he conned some hot chick, nailed it.

I expect to be in the minority here.

I will say the worse was Dalton, and anyone who votes for him should be permabanned from this site.:D

(edit: We all know Q was the best character from those movies anyways;))

The first actor to play James Bond: Bob Simmons
Dr No - Goldfinger

(He's the guy in the gunbarrel)

Yes, as a stunt man :yep:

The correct order, as I've stated on this forum before, is

1. Connery
2. Moore
3. Lazenby
4. Craig
5. Brosnan
6. Dalton

Anything else is wrong. :O:

I voted for Connery, with Daniel Craig right there with him. The reason is simple: the early Connery movies and the new Casino Royale are the only ones that actually follow the books fairly closely. That is a major factor for my enjoyment. I thought Timothy Dalton was fine, if only the movies themselves hadn't stunk to high heaven. Pierce Brosnan was nothing like the Bond of the books, and neither was Roger Moore. George Lazenby was bad, but the movie itself followed the book quite well, which is a plus.

Actually the first actor to play James Bond was Barry Nelson, in Casino Royale, back in 1953.

For early American television they had to turn him into an American, but still...

The movie was ok, but Wayne Newtons character impressed me more than the protagonist.

"Bless your heart" after having a gun pulled on him, and being robbed was priceless.

Yeah, its like he knows he shouldnt be coming-on to a young woman, or stealing millions of dollars, but he cant control himslf!

The first proper British James Bond was Bob Holness of 'Blockbusters' fame, but that was on the radio.

But, there is only one James Bond, and that's Sean Connery.

However, I do like Dalton, so :O::O::O:

I believe we had a thread like this a couple of months ago, let me go find it...here we are:

Craig by quite a lead, with Brosnan in second and Connery in third.

Really bad was none of them all.

The best James Bond by a country mile is Sean Connery
