New here and radar question

Hello everybody

Ive been playing silent hunter 4 (version 1.4) for several weeks now and its awesome. I recently also downloaded the TMO version for it wich makes it even more awesome. Over those weeks i came here lurking daily for all my problems and i must say it was really helpfull, so i tought its about time i join the forums. First of all i want to thank the entire community for making my Sh experience allot better.

Im still having one more problem with the A-scope surface radar, it barely gives any peaks. Even when i know there is a enemy ship close i need to use time compression to actually see a peek, is this normal? Also when i have visual contact with a ship thats about 13km distance, i cant see it when the range on the A-scope is set to 20. I can at 60 but again very few peaks.

seems i have another problem.. Im doing a patrol and for some reason everytime im diving to go to periscope depth i get damage and floodings. It doesn't matter where i dive i always get the damage and sink. Is it possible i have some hull damage that cant be repaired?

Yes, it is possible. Did you try to test your crushdepth earlier in your patrol? Or received damage from the enemy? The more your hull is damaged, the less deep you can dive. And it gets worse. Being too deep makes the hull damage increase, which reduces safe depth.

Yeah thats it, it seemed i had 95 hull damage

Decent injury to float.

Just to be sure, you've got the version of TMO that is for 1.4, and not the 1.5 version?

Are you sure the radar is pointing at the ship? The radar will only display the peak when the target is within its beam, and the beam stops sweeping when you go to the radar screen. You can manually aim the beam with the Home and End keys, or you can turn the sweep back on.
