How do I man the deck gun...attack P
 

I can order my crew to manned the deck gun and I can place Binos on target and order them to fire but how do I (me) man the gun? I can man the Flak guns fine by clicking on them bit I can't click on the deck gun to get there.

Also, where is the 'attack' periscope?

You have two possibilities.

When you locked the target with your binoculars -->"space". Then you should hear: "Deck gun is ready and manned" and they start to shoot. Then there must be an little yellow deckgun-icon in the left side of your binocular.

Or you climb down the bridge (outside:03:) and walk to the deckgun and klick on it. The alternative you teleport to the deckgun, also there must be a button on keyboard, but actually i don´t know which!

You should make a tourist itinerary throw your boat and klick all you can klick to test.:D

For me and my english i cannot explain without lead you in the wrong.

In the control room (where the navigator stands in front of his map) you will see the observation scope...click on it...

then walk up the ladder leading to the bridge. inside the conning tower you will see the attack scope...walk towards it and click on it....

And don't ask me where the control room is :D

(If you are using TD's New UI you can also teleport to these scopes / different stations by the click of a button)...Press F1 for keyboard layout and to see which buttons raise/lower your scopes)

Read a bit through whats already been provided with the mods you've listed earlier as almost being a game breaker. You want everything giving without much effort on your part. But that's the digital age I recon.

You can also click on the seaman standing at the UZO when you move your mouse arrow over him and he's outlined in yellow.. There's a dialog box that will open and you can click on Man the Deck Gun, or Secure the Deck gun when you are threw with it. Orders for the Flack Gun will also appear.

Kalleblom, "Then there must be an little yellow deckgun-icon in the left side of your binocular." Yes, it's there and the crew is firing but it didn't move me to the deck gun. I tried it without success..I'll try again. I never thought of climbing off the tower.:) Yes, I have been back and forth through the boat. Thanks!

7thSeal, The game appears to be working fine. I'm just having a problem figuring out the interface. As far as your snide comment of "You want everything giving without much effort on your part." I consider it a childish and uninformed statement considering that you know nothing about me, who I am, what I do, what I've done. Am I frustrated with the game? Yes, I am. Am I working through it with assistance from others? Yes, I am. I spent the better part of yesterday doing so. And, I intend this weekend, when I have time, to replace the interface as was recommended. I hope you see that your remark was impolite and unnecessary. - Rick

GT182, No, that works. I click on the Watch Officer and have the correct options. I should have written my question better. I want to personally manned the deck gun - myself. But, since I couldn't click the deck gun and when I clicked on the icon for the deck gun nothing happened I couldn't figure out what else to try. Apparently, one can climb down the Conning Tower to get to it, never thought of that. Thanks again! - Rick

Rick, you have to get down off the Con and go to the deck gun. Move your mouse arrow on to the deck gun and it will be outlined in yellow. Click it and you are in control. You can fire as it is or click on the icon next to the Ammo and zoom in that way. Happy hunting.
