''Looks nice'?! Looks incredible more like :o

Hopefully some enterprising body will stick 'em in the Campaign some how. I'd love to run into these bad boys.

Great job Sober - looks very good:woot:

some questions:O:

what ships have you done this too?
why 25%?
did you change the cfg width or where they ok anyway?
the ship lengths are in scale:yep: (see thread) is the width now also in scale?

Kalleblom 08-17-12 08:38 AM

Thank you sober, great thing!

:yeah:

Did you by chance update the damage zone info also? The Dmg_Col model(s) have to be scaled also. The spheres and boxes need to be scaled/added as needed to accomodate the larger girth :yep: Not doing this will result in strange behavior when collisions happen with it.

I deleted the file until i look at these , thanks . Thats why i picked single hulls . Do i just increase the size of the spheres and boxes with goblin damage editor for the Bismark hull zone ?

I would increase the size of the boxes to accomodate the larger width. I would increase the size of the spheres and also space them out.

Ensure you increase the width of the DMG_Col nodes

Are the models in the stock game not to scale? Why didn't they look this good in the first place?

DelphiUniverse 08-17-12 12:25 PM

One thing I hate about this game is that I almost never see a ship roll over to one of its sides. Almost always it sinks by the bow or stern and the opposite follows.

When ship was struck on the side, it usually rolled over after a while.

HMS Barham after torpedo strike:

Here it is completely rolled over:

@DelphiUniverse

I think TDW is working on something that'll generate a more realistic sinking model.

That is hidden 3D Model for actual collision (blocking area) of one boat to another and should match the visual 3D Model.
You can toggle visual on/off in Goblin Editor to see the model but as you know you can not save any changes to GR2 in GoblinEditor.
