[Disappointed rant] Narvik 1940
 

I am in the Narvik fjord, April 10, 1940.

A group of C&D class DD's runs in at 35 kts, too fast to hear anything. To make things worse, heavy seas (wind 15 m/sec - BTW, is there any mod preventing mammoth waves to unrealistically form in a narrow of less than 3 miles?).

I fire the 4 forward torps each to a different target. I bag one for sure, then i have to dive before seeing the results of the other weapons.
Then i get back at periscope and hit another one with the aft torpedo. I have seen the explosion.

One DD escapes west towards Narvik, only to be sunk later by friendly DD's.

I surface and see in distance the wrecks of two more DD's.

So: one direct hit immediately, another hit with the aft torpedo, two sunk a mile away, evidently beacuse of damage I inflicted. A complete, resounding success.

And guess what? I get credit only for the first sinking. :wah::/\\!!

Now BDU warns of another wave. I reloaded and I am waiting.

I go first to my patrol grid, than do whatever i do, and come home alive, all those messages specially Narvik....

I do remember there was 2 mission in SHII game(grid close to Bergen) than yes i went over there... but i don't like cold water :haha:
