Best torpedo and coating
Hi.
I've always wondered which coating for the uboat is the better. I suppose it depends on where you are located? Is the atlantic coating the best, it is at least the most expensive. But I like the idea of the cheap coating with sound absorbing material, what should I go for? And people, what torpedo do you prefer? I don't like homing torpedos very much, they kind of make you a bad torpedo man in the long run. Do you guys use the steinbarsch 45 knot torpedo? |
Could anyone enlighten me on these two things that I described in the first post?
Also, Could anyone do me a favor and download this for me: http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/down...o=file&id=2819 and reupload it to a file hosting service. I have to wait 24 hours until I can get it :wah: |

What is the best uboat coating, the coating that gives you 15% noise reduction looks good to me, but it is way cheaper than the atlantic coating, but the atlantic coating have no sound absorption. I wonder which is better, do anyone know?

HI! I think that coating's wont work at all ?? lot's of stuff is still N/A in this sim :hmm2:

I used that black "sound absorbent" coating on the VIIB and I had no idea if it was working or not. I guess it's something you'll really have to look in the files to see if using it gives any kind of noise percentage cut. I imagine it wouldn't be terribly hard to find or even to make work if it needs it. Maybe somewhere as simple as the cfg files... I think I might have a look myself 'cause I plan to use it again when it becomes available to me.
I don't like the homing torpedo's either except I keep one or two on board for sticky situations. Great for (theoretically) knocking out the DD that's been harrassing me :D I'll use the good ol' TI for night attacks and the TIII (I think, The fast electric one) for daytime. My favorite will always be the 105mm deck gun when-ever possible:arrgh!: Arrrrgh Gute Jagd D40 Quote:
