newb getting back to SHIII, which mods are you using?
Good evening gentlemen,
I'm returning to SHIII after quite a while. I'm planning to use the GWX 3, SH3 Commander, and MaGui Final. Could you please advise me what other mods go well with these three? Also, what GWX optional mods are you using? Cheers. |
I have the same problem.. I played SH3 a few years ago without any mods, even liked the game very much.. But I want to try it again, but the numerous choices in mods makes it very hard to begin:P
I have downloaded GWX 3 and LSVH 3 5.1.. It looks like LSVH is the completer super mod at the moment. One of the most important demands is a widescreen function and higher resolutions.. |

I know you inquired about mods that go with GWX, but I am currently not running GWX at the moment so if you're curious about setups without GWX I have here installed through JSGME (all credit to their authors if I forget to mention them): 1. Iambecomelife's Merchant Fleet Mod 3.2 + the proper skin packs 2. Dertien No rank on crew 3. ManosEnvironmentPro (MEP) v3 - graphics mod 4. MEP v3 patch 5. MEP v3 Flatsunfix 6. A mixed crew clothing mod- with my own selections from Das boot clothes, weather gear from Raptor's uniforms v2.0, Evan82's uniforms, KM blue all crew, and Elite Flecktarn Camouflage uboat uniform 7. Das Realistic food - changes the texture on the uboat meats and bananas 8. Torpedo Damage Final 2.0 - slightly changes torpedo hole appearance on a damaged ship 9. Red night map by Gairith- the navigation map gets dimmed red during nighttime 10. My own private changes to the torpedo damage values in torpedo.zon - Stock SH3 goes by hitpoints for a ship to sink. For some reason, some medium merchants can take three hits to sink so I just increased the torpedo damage to my taste using Silent 3ditor 11. realsmoke by sober 12. wooden lifeboats mod 1.1 13. Harbour Traffic 1.47 standalone 14. Airpower 1.4c H.T I also use SH Cmdr 3.2 + Sailor Steve's July 2012 ship names for that. |
