External view Player Sub Only?
 

Pardon me if this has been mentioned before, but is there a mod that allows player sub external view only?

I play on fairly high realism with GWX, but I love external view. :ping:

Ive looked at other forums and sites but as far as i can see, no. I have the same problem I like watching my sub move underwater if I try to look at it whille in battle I always end up watching the enmy ships

Not that I'm aware of, but couldn't you exercise a little self restraint and press the "." key only once to reveal the external view of your sub?:D

I'm a disciplined guy, but I can't have external views on. If I do there is no chance for me to stop me from looking where those eels hit or miss, or how the convoy looks when there's ships burning and sinking in the night. I wish I had more self-restraint and would be able to have look at my sub now and then :ping:

My apologies if I sounded as though I was treating the issue flippantly:oops:. I like the external view of other units so it's not a problem for me. Hope you find a solution.

You can edit basic.cfg to change your % realism. So you can have youR externals and stay at 99%

If I may , it is not the basic.cfg file but the GameplaySettings.cfg in same folder.

Nemo ah Im sorry if i sounded sarcastic I didn't mean to it actually helped me:)

If you press the "." key you will get the ship camera view. The camera will follow the ship. If there are other ships in the area you can keep pressing that key to get those ship cameras. If there are no other ships in the area, I would only press it once as it may do strange things afterward. It works for planes also, if they are present.

Ok. When in doubt I claim basic.cfg. :D
