RUNNING SH4 IN 64 BIT VISTA

I have a 32 bit version of Vista and it runs SH4 perfectly and I have never had an issue. I switched out my main board and put in 8 gigs of ram but a 32 bit system will only see 4 gigs.

If I upgrade to a 64 bit Vista version will I still be able to play SH4?

Yes I enjoy the program enough to lose my 4 gigs of ram if I could not play it on a 64 bit system.:sunny:

:k_confused:

I think the answer is yes. I play SH4 on a MacPro with Win 7 under Bootcamp. My system is 64 bit. Don't know much about Vista but don't see why it would different than Win 7 regarding running in 64 bit.

Win7 64-bit here, no problems....

But you will need to download 64-bit 7zip to unzip mods.

I ran it with 64 bit Vista with no problems. I now have 64 bit Windows 7.

:salute:

I have Windows Vista 64 bit and have been running SH4 on it since I first got the PC years ago. I have had no issues whatsoever. Have never even had to reinstall SH4 either. It's still the original install.

Been running on Vista x64 since 2008. Just don't load the game into the default ProgramsFile location.

Make a separate Games folder to load it in. If you have a second hard drive load it on that one.

thank you everyone

Also, Vista is very easy to configure to look and behave almost like XP, which made the transition easier than when I went from Win 98SE to XP. Talk about a culture shock!
