Sh3 Gen oddity

Sh3 Gen has sent me (it's dec. 1939) to perlustrate the harbor of Port-Louis (Breatgne, just on the other bank of the Lorient estuary).
It would be quite a nerve-rattling mission, unless... Port-Louis is not in the SHIII (or the GWX) map.

Any clues? Does SH3 Gen send you often in the middle of nowhere?

Did anybody seriously mod the Lorient area?

Yup. SH3Gen does that. One has to use imagination. You could investigate the shore near real Port-Louis or pick the nearest harbour that is on the map.

I got a patrol order telling me to go to a grid square that wasn't even on the map. So got a free run at sinking anything i could find without being stuck in a square for 24 hrs. Quite rewarding.

Hello,

I've been gone for awhile but since seeing this near the top------anyone know if sh3gen has been coverted to work on 64 bit based win vista or 7 yet ??? (or is it still for xp and /or 32 bit ).

what version are you running sublynx???

I have V0.7.1------not letting me generate--(i put in the save file --the generate button just wont "un-grey" to use)......

I remember the issue from before--and the readme advises about the do.net issue---but even tried installing do.net1.1- (incompatibility issues when i try)--my 64 bit vista rig just not letting me run it:damn:

any newer versions out there floating around that anyone has been able to get running with vist 64 bit?

My version is 0.8.2. released February 2007.

I have had problems with generate button being greyed out as well. Then I realised I had still open an old savegame file. One needs to have the current save game file opened. So maybe try clicking the two dots in the main page right beside the text Savegame?

I don't believe it! You used a word I actually had to go look up! ME! The self-appointed, self-acknowledged - not to mention self-aggrandizing - know-it-all of Subsim.com, being shown something he didn't know!

Boy, am I mortified!

Got the latest version now and got it working on 64 vista---forgot and had to set the path to sh3 in sh3 gen setting to get it rolling:oops:

Great app to give the game a little more ambiance.

Ahoy, Snafu,

This is great news to me that SH3Gen will continue to operate under Win7 64 bit OS. I had recently posted an inquiry in this regard. I had enjoyed employing SH3Gen in past adventures in SH3 and, now that I have returned once more to command of a VIIC after a long shore leave, I was hoping to immerse myself in the atmosphere that SH3Gen adds to the overall SH3 experience.

Good Hunting,
Kitzbuell
