A healthy dose of Americans...

What mods do you need to fully experience the American Navy side of SH4? no U-boats, no German.

My advise would be: go with TMO (Trigger Maru). I just installed RFB, and it needs a lot of work to be updated to 2012 level. Run Silent run Deep campaign is necessary only with stock game, or RFB, TMO has its own campaign, but, of course, you can run RSRD with TMO too, if you really want. Once that choice is done, there are a lot of smaller mods worth installing, like EAX_Sound_Sim_SH4, Nav Map Makeover and Optical Targeting Correction (but I would wait for an update to the last one - OTC - its near, I hope ;) )

RFB

TMO

FOTRS

Those are the good ones to dive into.

GFO if you prefer more of a stock game.

Lots of little add ons for them too.

Yes, OTC is a great addition to SH4. CapnScury has a new version in the chute that he is trying to finish up to release it. Sooooooooooooo, hopefully he can before summer is out.

Also, the new version of FOTRS is supposed to ready. There is a German forum for it and I think the German release has already been completed. Just us guys in the States waiting for it to make it's way here.
