yay

I had my M.A. exam today and... I passed. I got 4.5 (B).
(I had a non-written agreement with my supervisor: exam in late June with max. grade 5 or middle July with max grade 4.5, but in June I wasn't prepared as good as I would wish for so I had to take July). Anyways...

It was kinda long road for me. 2 lost years in the History Department...everything passed but history doesn't give many job possibilities here in Poland, so when my high school friends were on their 3rd year, I was on the 1st at English Philology.

I can't teach the English language as such, but I can teach British and American culture and literature...Yeah, I know how it sounds, especially for native speakers...
I have no plans for the future...I will probably take some post-graduate one-year studies, something like "business in English" or "logistics in English". I may even look for a job (what? did I say a job?? :D) but no idea where I could work...

Special thanks to Herr-Berbunch for correcting a few sentences in my dissertation and to CCIP who helped my with the title to some minor paper last year.

And ofc feel free to PM me with any 200.000+ $ (yearly) job offers :)

That's what we want you to believe, so there would be more for us.

Cheers for the graduation! See you in the secret academic conspiracy parties. Remember the handshake and the robe. :03:

Well I work for a British logistics company, dealing mainly with the Nordic countries but Poland, and the rest of Europe plus some, features too - our plumbers need some way of sneaking in. If you can learn this industry I'll have a word for you. :O:

My wife's best friend when they were kids has a brother who at the age of 30-something now has still never, ever, had a proper job. Last seen marrying some Italian whilst he even-further educated himself in Florence. The eternal student. :hmph:
