Inverted silent running

Using GWX with the patched exe, I've encountered a bug where when I reload my save, my silent running appears to be the wrong way round. None of the icons are crossed out, and the crew talk loudly, but I can't go faster than ahead slow. Pressing Z switches to silent running, and the crew talk in whispers, the icons are crossed out, and yet I can speed forward at flank.

Seems like my speed/silent running got confused somehow. Does anyone know a fix or have I lost this save game?

What is the "patched exe"?
I run GWX alone and have never encountered that.

Sounds like a mod conflict or a corrupted file.

Even when Silent Running is turned on you can go to flanks speed. I also agree it sounds like a conflict somewhere.

Back on topic, wasn't it always the case that if you saved your game with silent running on, when you reloaded silent running would be off and you would have to put it on again?

Maybe you reloading the external torpedoes at this time?
