Sim Freezes
 

Hello All.
I purchased the digital download from steam. and the thing keeps freezing up on me.
I've upgraded my video and all other drivers and it still does the same thing.
I tried disabling the 3d sounds and to no avail.

I have the discs but lost the paperwork with the cd key ( previous purchase)

It was only 15 bucks so I decided rather than going thru the hassle of getting a key, I would just get it from Steam.

When I had the sim installed with the discs before, It ran great.

I desperately want to enjoy this sim again.

Any suggestions?

I seem to recall DW having problems running on dual core processors which can cause lag or freezing. I believe the answer was to turn one off the CPU's off. Also, in the graphics card settings make sure AA is not enabled.

I run it on a Core 2 Duo without issue, but the MS voice recognition will start to freeze DW it if I enter options and that field appears on screen. I'd love to kill the process that triggers that.
