I posted some hours ago under my actual BBS handle, RAM. There you can see I'm a long-lasting forum user that doesn't post that much and had to post something to get to download a couple more mods...

however half a day has passed, yet I still can't download anything else. Guess it takes some time (or so I read in Neal's sticky thread) but it's weekend, when I do most of my gaming and simply can't wait for trying out the mods I have in mind nor waste any of my limited gaming time waiting, so I hope you don't mind, I registered under a new account to be able to dowload them.

Sorry for doing so and I beg for your understanding on this matter :). Hope you don't mind this little breach of the rules :).

Other than for this purpose I'll be using my RAM handle for all purposes once I've been able to download the files.

Actually it's a big breach of the rules. People have been banned permanently for posting duplicate accounts. Usually it's people who have been banned before and are trying to sneak back in. I'm not sure what the decision will be in your case, but you seem fairly innocent about it. We'll see.

well lets look at it this way, I'm not trying to get loads of downloads in a single stroke. In fact its I think three further archives. I reached my top of "you-have-not-posted-yet-so-you-get-only-three-downloads" with my main account, and I've waited half a day so the legal 10-file limit is open for me. Hasn't happened yet, but in any case I only need three more files (total of 6 downloads) so I would not go over the limit of 10 files per day per working account under any case.

Also I'm just doing this because, well, its Saturday and I don't get too much playtime during the working days. It's a bit of a bummer that I posted a message to get my legal limit of downloads and half a day later I can't do anything about it...figured out that as long as I was under the total of 10 downloads per day would be fine. BUt of course didn't want to hide it from you guys. I know is not according to the letter of the rules, thats why I asked for your understanding :)

All in all I mean no harm, I'm pretty clearly stating my intentions and not trying to hide what I've done. Heck I even asked for your understanding on this matter...not trying to go over the legal download limit of a single account...just trying to make my playing time count :). Guess it might be a technical breach of the rules, but is done with the best of intentions and without trying to hide it at all.

(and In any case I've downloaded nothing else yet...I still get the same message as with my main handle...you must post, etc etc etc :))

well, dunno what to say, lol, seems this is not working well at all, because I get this message again:
"Sorry! You have exceeded your daily allowed download amount.As a new Cadet, you are able to post freely and download up to 3 files a day. Once you have made a single post, you are able to download 10 files a day.
If you want to graduate to a Captain, feel free to introduce yourself in the Comments to Subsim forum. There is a thread titled XMonth 2011 New Member Sign Up, make a short intro post there and tell the forum how you found Subsim, what your favorite game is, etc and say Hello! We welcome you into our community! "

Oh well, guess I'll have to wait until somehow I get the full 10 files per day thing hehehehe

who knows, maybe when he merged my accounts the download permissions got rebooted too?.

Who knows. I'll wait some 24 hours before PM'ing him. He has a whole website to run just for someone to worry him with such a relatively minor thing :)
