Dim the lights!!
At night...is there anyway to dim the UI or make a "night" mod...a la rig for Red? So I've got all the lights off in the house.....trying to get into the game...and right now as is, all of the UI that appears when you are on the bridge/UZO/scope is very bright and takes away from what you are actually tryign to see. It ruins my night vision a bit..so my eyes are always seemingly adjusting. This is of constant annoyance to me....
With TDW UI's i've configured the UI's to hide...and obviously I make use of the hide HUD option...but as always ..when ever I need to bring up the UI and night ....its bright. :sunny::o Any MOD out there that i'm not aware of? |

this bright UI when night travelling/attacking, etc, is very uncomfortable. If a modder could solve this, he would be a star !! Thanks in advance. |
Something like this:

Reaper...not the periscope....the stuff at bottom center and the upper right. Anything besides the acutal view itself is too bright IMOH. Basically anything that can pop up....like the reccy manul...charts....even the map. I just wish there was a subdued mode at night ..much like the way the ship auto 'reds' at night.

the best solution is to find the image files for the background images of these displays and dirty them up using a black transparent shade of cloud texture. this will give them a worn dirty look and tone down the brightness so its better in night and still good for day use

Further versions will also include the charts and onscreen icons. Unfortunately the tai map can't be done because if you overlay it the map becomes unclikable |
Awesome! I'll look forward to it. can you dim down the message box? That sucker is very bright. Thanks again!!
