Screen Shots ?
 

Hey everyone hopefully I have a simple question.

I'm playing SH III (GWX gold) on a Windows Vista machine.

Where will my saved screen shots get saved to?

I don't find them in my documents or pictures folder.

They are in your SH3 root directory; the same place as your SH3.exe file.

Normally that is c:/ProgramFiles(X86)/Ubisoft/SilentHunterIII

Thanks Raptor. I just looked there and don't see them, or maybe they are but I am looking for them as a *png or *jpg file and I don't see anything listed that way.

I hate when I feel so dumb.

They are usually bitmaps (.bmp) and should look something like this (the xxxx will be a unique series of numbers)

SH3Img@xxxxxxxxxx .bmp



Also, be sure you're looking in the correct SH3 root directory. If you made a separate directory for a 2nd copy of SH3 to which you then added GWX, the screen captures will be there. For example, I have multiple copies of SH3 on my hard drive. The one I use for GWX has this path:

c:/games/SH3 with GWX/SilentHunterIII

Any screen captures I take in GWX will be stored in that root directory.

Check the screens shots threads up top for how tos on posting screen shots.

I'm not trying to post an actual screenie, just illustrating the file name foremat associated with SH3 screen shots so he'll recognize them in his directory.

I know, but all of this is detailed in a sticky.........
