Whats TDC and what does it do?

Also, is there a youtube walk through of this game, this game is hard. Im on british coastal water mission to sink shipping.

TDC stands for "target data computer". It is a simulated analog computer into which is entered the various inputs required to compute a firing solution for your torpedoes and, if you've entered the required data correctly, allow you to fire your torpedo at the correct moment to hit your target.
