U-jagd tools - pdf version for DIY?
Hello,
I humbly wonder if anyone have these U-jagd tools in PDF-format (or similar) for a DIY kit? I am especially looking for these tools:
It seems that a lot of the old links are dead, or not moved from filefront to gamefront. I've searched the forums and downloads quite thoroughly :damn:, but of course I may have missed some posts. I would be very grateful for any help or tips on where to find these tools :DL -Palatum |
OK, I found one - the black and white (plain) 3 bearing AOB tool. And I guess I could make the others from the tga-files.
But if anyone already has done the work and like to share, I'd be happy :D |

http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=147719 Well, fyi it's not related to the U-jagd tools. Makman just included it in his MaGUI mod, which also contains the RAOB-finder and attackdisk. The link above provides the original instructions on the disk. Other than that, there are none. I never made an "authentic look" either, as I made this thing up myself. It never existed afaik. And I wanted to keep it simple and clear. |

I have MaGUI, but I don't find the 3bearingAOB ingame? It is supposed to be attached to the navigators orders, but in my game it isn't. It could of course be a MOD-related issue. I'll check in to it later Thanks anyway :salute: -Palatum |
Hi palatum,
I also use MaGUI and the 3-bearing AOB tool can be found if you first click on the NA (lower right-hand corner) and then move the mouse cursor all the way to the right of the screen (you should see the brown edge of the tool sticking out from the side), and the tool will slide out from the right. I don't have the game open right now, but I seem to remember this works only when you're viewing the map; it might work in other views as well, I'm just unable to check it atm. Hope this helps! benitorios |
As for the attack disc, you can get the files to print out both sides in this thread:
Kriegsmarine Wiz-Wheel templates released! If you want some advice on how to make one, let me know. I've made several. |
Good job Bill!
You found Hitman's files first, so I don't have to look them up. It's funny that the OP phrased the question the way he did, because the original u-jagd interface by Joegrundman for SH3 was based directly on Hitman's DIY files. So we have someone asking if there's an external file to match an in-game file that was actually based on an external file in the first place! I love it when that happens! :sunny: |
As you know SS, I'm a big advocate of Hitman's wheels, and have been from the very beginning. To me, it just doesn't seem right to use an in-game version if you can use a physical one. I've made several versions of it, and I still use the one I made and posted pictures of in that thread.
I actually didn't play SHIII for a couple years or so, then I came back here expecting the SHIII forum to be moribund. Imagine my (pleasant) surprise! Seems like Ubisoft's subsequent efforts have fallen short of expectations. |
SH5 is severely lacking, but the potential is still there and people are working on it. To my mind SH4 is far better than SH3, but it has been largely ignored by modders and so suffers from lack of coolness, which is the only thing keeping me with SH3.
|
Well, I only fairly recently bought a computer that would run SHIII with GWX at a decent frame rate. It's the first new computer I had purchased since 1988.

I just remembered about it and updated the old thread with a new link to the latest version of the front side, which is much better IMHO :salute:
