Something strange...
While leaving La Spetzia I received a red contact warning - behind me in the docks! So I turned around and went back. On the map, at the end of the contact was a blue flashing Type A36. As I got closer the red line went away and the blue boat stopped flashing. Mmmm.
So I left and it did it again. So I went back and put a fish into it. It sank a little in the shallow anchoring, showed a blue wreck on the map AND registered as a kill in the log. Nothing else happened - no attacks from my own or anything else. My question: Was it one rum too many or anyone else have another explanation for this strange event??:06: R |
Uhm...maybe there were enemy planes circling around, because there you just sank a friendly ship!

You could have been at the time when the country of origin changed sides historically.
|
That explains why there are English ships when I leave Kiel.I sink them and when I return to port I get attacked by my own side.

In Aug 39 EVERYTHING is neutral, so sinking a neutral means EVERYTHING regards you as an enemy for the following 24 game hours.

Good to know.:haha:

This was late 42 but anyway, I reloaded the in base save and sure enough, it did it again when I left! This time I kept the eel where it belongs and sailed away. A further note for interest's sake - after sinking the flasher, as I left the base after sinking it, with everyone acting as if nothing happened, I got another blue flashing marker over the blue wreck, at the same mooring. Must have been the glitch gremlin at work. |
