Kidnapped UK Aid Worker Murdered

Perhaps it's time to stop the aid :hmmm:

A British aid worker kidnapped in Pakistan in January has been found dead, the Foreign Office has said.
Khalil Dale, 60, who worked for the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), was kidnapped in Quetta, south-west Pakistan.
The body of the Muslim convert was found in an orchard in Quetta with a note saying he had been killed by the Taliban, local police said.

Quetta police chief Ahsan Mahboob said the note read:
Quote:

"This is the body of Khalil who we have slaughtered for not paying a ransom amount."

I think it is time to re-evaluate all foreign aid from a perspective of return on investment (both monetary and non-monetary).

Some good ole fashioned "what is the benefit for us?" thinking is what is needed. :yep:

We have people back in our respective countries that need aid too.

I agree we better rethink aid. The thing is this gentleman worked for the RED CROSS/RED CRESCENT which is supposed to be neutral and work in every bloody country in the world. Maybe a "quarantine" is in order? :x
