Not necessarily....it is possible that some newly appointed "fellah" style idiot that just got into parliament(parliaments are full of idiots everywhere) come up with this crap.
Egypt is messy place now with lot of strange things going on.

WTF?
So its a daily mail piece taking a few snippets from another publication which is taken a few snippets from an opinion piece in a media outlet run by the military council who "replaced" the military dictatorship.

Maybe the problem is that they don't read it.

Is there really a draft law in this regard? Are there people thinking in this manner?'
Although reported in local media, there are some suggestions from within Egypt that the plans do not exist and were merely seeded by journalists loyal to ousted President Hosni Mubarak.

The thing with the daily mail is it does the "OMG looky horror shame scandal" spiel but in the end actually says nothing of any substance on the story it is headlining.

If you look at the actual "real" story on this it is quite funny.
Amro Samea has gone right off on one and not only made made self contradicting claims but has used sources which would be laughable even by the Mails standards.

It was in our news too and Slovenian journalism is not a joke, It's a bloody tragedy :nope:

Skybird 04-27-12 05:14 AM

More respect for precious foreign cultures, please. The haughty attitude displayed in this thread is not wanted.

:O:

Seriously. At the end of our lives, most of us will probably have thought more about sex than about anything else. Those people down there in the dark countries just have the balls to stand by this fact and think it to the final end.

:woot:

No, really seriously. Let's consider different habits in different places to be a true enrichment of global cultural wealth.

:har:

P.S. The news is around the web currently, especially ME blogs.

The basis for allowing sex with´little children and sex with dead wives in the first 6 hours after death is not the Quran, but some content related to the Sharia (which is a more complex thing than just a penalty code book). Over the past 10 years I occasionally read minor news about some minor teacher, preacher, imam here or there who were demanding a return to this practice in an effort to "revitalise" Islam, even proclaimed fatwas were given - ignoring that as far as I remember those issuing such fatwas were not authorized at all to issue any fatwa. So, the issue of this news is not really new. Just tells something about what powers the Arab "spring" has broken lose.

Islam hold s a very petrified, abusive sexual morality that gives men all excuse to abuse women, but claims women as responsible for men's aggression and charges. At the same time, the natural drives are heavily supressed and put in chains and hidden away in a dark, god-forsaken corner of men'S mind. The extreme and very obvious hypocrisy in Islam when it comes to sexuality, is the result. Mind you, the top ranks in the list of how much pornography is consumed in various countries, is led by Arab and Islamic countries. ;)

The patriarchalic tyranny of fathers that may dominate families by dictatorial rule and supressing their sons even when they are young adults and young men, but being forced into the hierarchy that demands them to kneel before their fathers nevertheless, also plays a role - not only in certain Arabic and Muslim places, but in the tribal cultures of much of Africa as well. Such sociological factors most of the time lead to scenarios of violent uprises and genocides that often get covered by the label "ethnic tensions", racist supressison and discrimination, or sexual abuse and supression of females.
