DW in XP Mode
 

Hi,

has anybody tried to run DW using Windows Virtual PC and XP Mode?
i get an error about the graphics display cant be initialized.

The reason why i want to run DW in a virtual machine is that i want to use speech recognition. Which is not possible in Windows 7 (German).

Windows Virtual PC looks like an simple way to get XP virtual, because i dont want to invest that many time just to play DW.....
But without Voice Commands DW is not playable for me.

Ok i found out that XP Mode has no 3D Support.....

Has anybody experience with somekind of VMWare for Windows?
what i need is something as easy to install as possible, only DW has to run inside of that VM nothing more.

tried sh3 at vmware. totally i have 16gb ram at my rig and i gave 12gb to virtual machine. The prob is that it use its one video card ( vmware svga ii) and at stock game with no addons and the game freezing time to time. So am thinking to try other virtual machine.

I've the same issue (Windows 7 German). It's really ridiculous that Microsoft wants >100 Euro for the anytime upgrade from professional to ultimate!

But why is DW without Voice Command for you not playable?

since i started playing DW i used voice commands. Its just immersion but i need to say "make turns for 4 knots" when i want to change speed, that clicking doesnt feel right for me somehow. This gave me somekind of Captains feeling.
