Greetings, fellow submariners!

I have just recently started playing SH3. With faint memories of playing Silent Service on my first computer waaay back in the 90's, i stumbled upon a website mentioning SH3 and gave it a try. My word, how have I lived without it?
Not having played a subsim for several decades, I was impressed by the stock game. Played for nearly a week, trying to figure out all the basics.
Then --- enter the MODS!!
I am running GWX gold, and it's a total different game. Loving it! GWX would run on my 8 y/o desktop though, so I have to use my laptop (which in fact is my employer's property... :nope:)

Can't play as much as i want due to RL, but just to sit down an evening with the game and the excitement, is satisfactory. Now I am playing with 90% reality (map update, WO assistance and no dud torps), and having a great time!

I used to play Battleground Europe (WW II Online) a few years back, but RL caught up, bringing on things like bying a house and having kids and other distractions :DL

Just wanted to say hello, and thank you for all the tips I already have picked up lurking in the forums for a few weeks.

There is still plenty of stuff to find out.

IMO SH3 is a game that will never stop changing!

Welcome to Subsim.

I really liked your "location"!:DL

Greetings...:salute:
I've SH2 and some other games installed on my employer's laptop (SH3 won't install for some reason). It's important to un-stress in the train while going to work and back ...:D

Welcome :sunny:

About a year ago my son sailed around the resting place of the Tirpitz then had lunch beside one of the Tall Boy craters.
