Ships disappearing after load game

Been playing SH4 1.5 for a while (I'm playing the american campaign, I'm in 1942 now) with a few mods and have never had any problems until now. It seems I'm not able to save and then later load a game without ships and convoys disappearing. Several times now I've had ships in plain sight and on the map only a couple of thousand yards away, saved the game and later loaded it again, only to have the ships disappear. They show up on the map for a little while right after loading the game, but they aren't visible in periscope/binocs. I've tried to load an earlier save from before I went out on this last patrol, hoping to "reset" something, but the problem still persists. What can I do to find the problem? Any help is appreciated. Last time I saved I got an 18000 ton ship visible in my periscope and it would be a shame to lose that due to a technical glitch.

I'm running the following mods on my Windows 7 Pro x64 computer:
  • RFB_2.0
  • RFB_2.0_Patch_23April2010
  • MaxOptics IV for RFB 2.0
  • MaxOptics Binoculars for RFB
  • Poul-Sound for SH4
  • Bigger Better Protractors
  • Nav Map Make-Over v. 2.0
Thanks in advance!

In any Silent hunter game, its usally a bad idea to save n load around ships. For some reason it just causes general instabilty. What your experincing is probably just a unfixable bug. Its a pain, but theres not much you can do :/

I guess. But it has worked just fine for all my 200+ or so saves.
