SH3 Will Never Die!
Ok first, this is not another one of those post about UBI multiplayer ending SH3 in anyway. For the past week all i have seen is post so titled; 'SILENTHUNTER3 R'.I.P' and 'UBI SH3 servers down' and even 'Ubisoft Abandons Multi-player'. All though all those posts are very much true i feel compelled to say, no more, this has been a long time coming and is happening too many other great tittles in many Genre's across the gaming world!
So yes i agree, it's a sad day that UBI doesn't support our multi no more, but this is not the end of SH3, not by a long shot. Heres an example of what I am whittling on about, after two years of not playing SH3, i suddenly see the case and get this amazing urge to install it again! I am sure if this happened to me, it will happen to others, I now play it everyday and have GWX mod and about 30 more mods witch i switch to and from. All I am saying is please no more RIP post, it's not dead! And for those of you that will reply to this with anger about not grieving the lost of the MP, well then look at this: Quote:
So why don't we stop grieving and start celebrating a new and improved multiplayer, also a new milestone in SH3 life, which i no has touched so many harts and consumed so many people into its rich history! Thanks for the read, Jonny:salute: |
It will be more than a half dead if they fix SH5 or make an SH6 that's not full of bugs and based on U-Boote...but I think I'd be dead by now anyways.

This is my personnel view, i do not mean to upset or annoy anyone. I think in my eyes, the thing UBI are missing is the fact that SH4 and above have been modernized in the wrong ways. For example SH5 you can walk around your you boat! This is great i agree but its added a whole new theme to what SH series is all about! If a SH6 was to be brought i think, personally they need to remake basically SH3, with a more modern theme, but still historic and still be able to keep it simple. SH3 like SH2 is so simple that you could show a monkey the commands and stations, give it a banana and let it get on with its game. But SH4 and especially 5 i found were over complicated and were aiming for more of a lets blow the crap out of everything.
Well no that is wrong in my eyes and that is why SH3 is the best and remains the best SH game in the series for the simple reason, its simple and even with super mods (GWX) its still easy to learn as you abc. Like i said this is only my view, i do not mean to upset anyones thoughts on the other SH games! Thanks for the read, Jonny:salute: |

it sucks as most players who play on line in ubisoft dont want to play lan for various reasons LAG VIRUS DETECTED ON THERE PC LACK OF OTHER PLAYERS and the fact that its just another program on your pc using more resources . obviously your not an online player or even dedicated to game if you just re-installed after 2 years away . ive played now 6-7 years ever day with some exceptions and the comparison between lan and online is very diffrent so please more sh3 R.I.P remind UBISOFT who actualy buys there games { PAYS THERE WAGES } |
Like isadi i wasnt out there to upset anyone, i have played silent hunter for 4 years on the trot till my new born baby came along and have been busy ever since, this is why i have only just reinstalled it. I am dedicated an duse to play online with ComSub Pac alot with Graph Paper and PualH. I dont need members of this forum thinkiung they no what i am dedicated to, not that i should have to explain myself. The purpose of this post was to demonstrate that there are still many ways that we can keep SH3 alive. Tungle may be a bad example but its a stepping stone in a big lake of oppotunity. Im sure as the weeks past there will be Other means and better ways to continue online!
Like i said sorry if i have rattled anyones cages! Thanks again! Jonny:salute: |
