String_PRODUCT_NAME......

"String_PRODUCT_NAME was not found in string table" I get that when I'm trying to install Silent Hunter III on Windows 7. Like an idiot I deleted it and wanted to do a fresh install..bad idea :(

The only way I could reinstall the game was to install it on a friends computer, copy the Silent Hunter installed game folder to a DVD and bring it back home and paste it in a folder. That worked fine but do you think LSH will work anymore..Nope :(

if you google "String_PRODUCT_NAME was not found in string table" as i did yesterday there's a whole wealth of info on it. trouble is i would have no idea where to start. could be graphics card issues + more.

there is a Windows7 thread here on this Silent Hunter 3 page near the top - go there if not already done so, maybe your prob. is listed.
