How to edit sim- and zon-files?

Hi there, i'm a little bit confused about editing sim- and zon-files for SH5.
Do i have to use the goblin editor? Or is there another tool to edit these files?

I tried to use the goblin editor following the 'Complete Idiots Guide to Goblin Editor'. I merged the files and can see them in the project-tree, but how is the way to edit the parameters in those files?

What is the best way to edit the files?

Thanks for your support....

i never used the "goblin editor"

i use the "s3d" utility for sim, dat, zon files and use windows "notepad' for editing any text files, to compare modded text files to stock files (like to see what changes were made) you use the "winmerge" utility

S3D will edit the same files if you have the updated files for S3D to work with SH5.
skwasjer did a release as did I.

@Privateer,
Where we can found these files?

Just got back from Virginia.
I'll see if I still have the files somewhere.

Thanks mate!
I found the files from swkas (the link yet works on the main s3d/sh5 thread) but they are yet not ready to be used. I didnīt understood exactly why, but seems that the files needs to be modified/adapted for a correct S3D use with Sh5. Wish you luck with the files, hopes that you find them!:up:

Have a link handy?
I can look at them again.
Been awhile since I messed with them but they worked fine last time I did.
